EARLY CHILDHOOD: Ysaias was born in Taft, Texas. He is the only son born to Abraham Morales and Maria Sixta Delgadillo Garza. Maria (a widow) was the second wife of Abraham. Abraham had a daughter (Teresa) and a son (Jose) from his previous marriage and Maria had a daughter (Consuelo) from her first marriage. Ysaias lived in Taft, at the Rincon Ranch, his entire youth.
EDUCATION: Ysaias attended school in the area, being the first hispanic to graduate from Gregory High School in Greogory,Texas. He graduated in 1943.
MILITARY: Ysaias was a career military soldier. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 after graduating from high school and served during World War II. After being wounded in combat, he decided to make the military his career. He participated in three major conflicts, WWII, the Korean War, and Viet Nam. After 38 years, he retired in 1981.
CAREER: Ysaias was a military career soldier. He received numerous medals.

MARRIAGE:Ysaias met Dolores (Lola) Stanley (a soldier) while in the military. They were married March 3. 1947.
