EARLY CHILDHOOD: John is the third of five children (Bill/Mike & Sue/Jeanne) born to Franklen Hampton and Mary E. William.

EDUCATION: John attended grade school at Warner Robbins, GA, from 1959 till 1968. He attended High School at Northside in Warner Robbins for three years. While in high school he participated in football for three years and two years in speech competition, winning second place in state competition in 196x. While in high school he started working at what would become his life's vocation (an upholsterer) at Collmans Upholstery. MILITARY:

MILITARY: John (Afxxxxxxxx) enlisted in the Air Force in 1973. He took basic training at Lackland AFB. From there he went to ________ for advanced training as a Diet Therapist. He was assigned to Vandenberg AFB from 197x-197x. He was reassigned to ___________AFB in Wiesbaden, Germany for xx years (198x-198x). He went there accompanied by his wife (Amelia) and two children. He was there during the release of the hostages held by the Iranian terrorists, who were taken there for their debriefing.. After his return to the states, he was assigned to ___AFB ME. He remained there until his release and discharge in October 3, 1983 at the rank of TSgt (E-5). While in the service he received three commendation medals for _____________(197x),_________(197x), and ____________(198x).

CAREER: John actually started his career while still in high school working at Collmans Upholstery. After his release from the Air Force, he worked for various upholstery companies (_______________________) in the Fort Worth Area. He decided to start his own business (JH Upholstery) in 198x in Fort Worth. His current full-time employee is Amelia.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: John is an accomplished artist, a painter.

MARRIAGE: John Hampton met Amelia in 1975, at Vandenberg AFB where he was stationed in the Air Force, and she was staying with Joe (her brother). They were married at the Crowell Assembly of God Church in Crowell, Texas on January 20, 1976. The Reverend Bobby Argo officiated at the ceremony.

CHILDREN: John and Amelia have two children.
