EARLY CHILDHOOD: Beatrice was born in Knox City, Texas. She is the first of ten children born to Camilo Ramirez and Bernardina Valladares. She was born in Knox City and lived there for a short while. The family moved to El Paso shortly after her sister Hortencia was born. They lived there until 1940. Her father Camilo was sent to work on the railroad in a small town between Deming and Lordsburg, New Mexico, a few miles from El Paso. They lived there from 1940 until 1945. After that, they moved to El Paso for a short while and then on to California. Living in Castroville for a short while with her dad's brother (one of twelve). From there they moved on to the San Joachin Valley, north of Los Angeles (a mostly farming area). In 19__ they moved to Earlimart where she lived until she got married. She moved to Delano, California in 19__. .
EDUCATION: Beatrice started school while they were living in Lordsburg, New Mexico. She attended school there from first to third grade.
MILITARY: Beatiice did not serve in the military.
CAREER: Beatrice presently owns a flower shop in conjunction with her son Ruben Jr. and his wife Lily.

MARRIAGE: Beatrice met Ruben Mendoza in 1955 in Delano, California. She and Ruben were married at the ___Church in Delano, California in in November 17, 1956.
