BORN: He was born August 7. 1948 in Crowell, Texas. Baldemar died of liver failure at the Fort Worth Hospice at age 58 on August 11, 2006. He is buried at the Veterans National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas

EARLY CHILDHOOD: Baldemar (Nino) was born at the Foard County Hospital in Crowell (Foard). He is the seventh of nine children born to Jose Rios Brown and Josefina Valladares. During the summer of 1954, the family took a trip to work in Wisconsin picking cherries, coming down towards Illinois to work in the tomatoes fields picking tomatoes. During the next 6 years, from 1955-1961, she accompanied the family to the Greeley, Colorado area where the older members of the family worked in the beet fields. This occurred from about May to September/October of each year. . Between his junior a wheat and senior year of high school, he, George, and Jesse worked as members of harvest crew, going as far as Colorado before quitting due to differences with the employer Mr. Kincholoe. _______.
EDUCATION: He attended elementary school in the Crowell Independent School District (CISD) from the first through twelfth grades graduating in May 1968. He lived in Denton Texas while attending Gainesville Junior College for a short time before enlisting in the military. After his discharge/retirement from the Navy, he attended Tarrant Count Junior College (TCJC) for a short time.
MILITARY: Baldemar enlisted in the United Stares Marines (USMC2515900) in June 13, 1969, and saw service in Viet Nam. He got a medical discharge in xx/xx/1970. In xx/xx/1971, after a short time as a civilian, he re-enlisted, this time in the United States Navy (USNXXXXX). His job in the Navy was as an airplane electrician, working on the F-14 Tomcat Fighter' hydraulic system. He retired in December 16, 1993 while he was stationed in ___ and living in Norfolf, VA. He retired due to a medical disability.
CAREER: -After graduating from High School, he moved to Denton, Texas while attending Junior College in Gainsville. He worked at Scientific Control Corporation (SCC) in Farmers Branch as an assembler working on mainframe computers. He enlisted in the USMC and spent a short time as a marine. After being released from the USMC he worked for a time in the construction of Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. He re-enlisted in the military and the balance of his career was spent in Navy, his initial assignment was
OTHER ACTIVITIES: Baldemar used to enjoy playing tennis in his younger days. He enjoys tinkering with automobiles (having attempted to restore one) and carpentry and gardening around the house.
MARRIAGE: Baldemar met Alvarita Sanchez at the Assembly of God Church in Fort Worth in 1969. After getting discharged form the Marines, he got married on February 20, 1971.at the same church where they met. The Reverend George Chavaria performed the ceremony.
CHILDREN: Baldemar and Alvarita have three children.
